Gang Programmer For Renesas R5F2127X Family

PLF988

Support for the Renesas R5F2127X family is now available on the fxRAPIDO, M9000 and L9000 gang programmers using the PL521 socket module. The photo shows the M9000 programmer fitted with one PL521 socket module and a PL300 socket module for DIL parts eproms & flash.

Each PL521 has two high quality clamshell sockets and, as usual, one or two socket modules can be fitted. With two PL521s, four pieces can be gang programmed.

The user can specify whether the user and/or data flash sections are to be programmed. Once set up, these settings are remembered by the programmer.

These programmers are fitted with LCDs and keyboards making them ideal for production as no controlling PC is needed.

Master data can be read from a device or downloaded from a PC if required. Master data can even be stored in an eprom and read on the PL300 socket module.

If required, devices can be erased before programming. There is also an option to automatically secure devices after programming.

There are over 100 different socket modules available for these gang programmers which support eproms, flash and microcontrollers from companies such as Intel, Atmel, Freescale, Microchip (PICs), etc.

The fxRAPIDO programmer can gang program four R5F21275s including user and data flash in about 10 seconds while the M9000 takes about 33 seconds. All times include blank check, program and verify.

Full details of the PL521 can be seen at www.lloydres.co.uk/pl521.htm.
