Gang Programmer for Hitachi H8 - 3048(F)
Lloyd Research has released a gang programming solution for programming both the flash and OTP versions of these popular processors in QFP using their L9000 modular gang programmer.
The L9000 mainframe can be fitted with one or two socket modules for gang programming eproms, flash and a wide range of micro-controllers. Each module is fitted with typically two or four sockets so that up to eight devices can be gang programmed. As there are about 80 family modules, the programmer is not dedicated to any one manufacturer of semiconductors.
Unlike almost all other programmers, the L9000 can program both the OTP and flash versions of the H8/3048 on the latest version of the PL304 module which has two high quality clamshell sockets. As these modules fit into the programmer, they are far more robust than crude socket adaptors which plug into DIL sockets and, in many cases, more cost effective. With the use of an L9000 programmer and two modules, a programmed part can be produced every 20 seconds.
The L9000 can also secure devices so they cannot be removed from a circuit and copied.
